History of the Development
Architectural integrity and natural beauty are the hallmarks of a well-planned community, of which Haile can claim both. The planners did an excellent job of guiding the growth of Haile since it broke ground in the late 1970s, at a time when few Florida developers were thinking about fostering urban-style spaces. The architects of Haile built a traditional town center, one building at a time. Forty years later, the Village Center boasts dozens of mixed-use buildings. Southern Living has recognized Haile for its exceptional fidelity to the principles of traditional neighborhood development. With the addition of several distinctive communities of single-family estates radiating from the Village Center and Market Square, Haile Plantation now features a total of 2,763 homes, multifamily buildings, and commercial properties.
