We recently asked our realty team for their favorite weekend breakfast & brunch haunts around the 'Ville and the list of responses we got back was so long that we had to break the list up into 'bite size' blogs. Civilization

Located in the historic Gulf Oil Building on NW 2nd Street, Civilization is rockin' an AMAZING brunch menu from 10AM-2PM every Saturday & Sunday. Who wouldn't want to try brunch offerings like Florida Cakes(organic multi-grain pancakes made with shredded zucchini, orange zest and candied pecans & served with hot blueberry compote and real maple syrup) or their Lemon Ricotta Beignets and Hibiscus Ginger Mimosas? Sign us up!
East End Eatery
(1202 NE 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601)
Although East End Eatery offers 'breakfast all day' Monday-Friday 8:30 -3PM, their weekend breakfast & brunch offerings are only available Sunday 9:30AM - 3PM. With lunch, breakfast & brunch specials changing daily, every visit is likely to involve new, fresh menu offerings to repeat diners. Don't miss out on their Huevos Rancheros, East End French Toast or Tempeh Scramble. We love how vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free friendly the menu is at East End Eatery!
Emiliano's Cafe

Emiliano's Cafe has been in business since 1982 and bringing the flavors of the Caribbean, Latin America & Spain to area diners ever since their door opened. With a brunch menu available Saturday 10AM - 2PM and Sunday 10AM - 3PM, there's no excuse to miss out on their Cuban or Mojo Pork Benedict, Guava-Strawberry Crepes or Coca Vegetariana. Their mimosas are also excellent and pair well with the menu offerings!
Country Foodly
(5240 NW 34th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32605)
If you're craving a side on kimchi with your biscuits & gravy, Country Foodly is the place for you! Open on Saturday & Sunday 7AM -2PM, Country Foodly looks like a typical country food diner but this Korean owned restaurant is so much more than meets the eye. Country Foodly offers all the tradition breakfast favorites like country fried steak, pancakes and country ham but their menu also includes items such as Bulgogi Omelettes, Korean Shin Ramen and Korean Tacos. Also of note it their Chicken & Waffles - of which we can just say "Wow. Just wow!".
Daybreak Pleasant Street
(308 NW 5th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601)
Located in the historic Pleasant Street neighborhood, Daybreak offers 'New American' breakfast and brunch Tuesday to Saturday 7AM - 2PM. Owned by a husband & wife team, the menu is comprised of lots of new twists on old breakfast favorites such as Stuffed Brioche French Toast, the paleo friendly Caveman Cakes & Quinoa Porridge. And you can't go wrong ordering from the Lunch Menu with their Mojo Tostada, Smoking Duck sandwich & Pleasant Nicoise salad. Daybreak prides itself on creating dishes from locally sourced ingredients and the menu is full of vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/paleo options. Just make sure to get there early to get a table and an on-street parking spot!
