Rebecca was born on a New Jersey Military base on a rainy April afternoon. At 2 years old her father was transferred from New Jersey to Florida, where the rest of her extended family lived. Throughout her childhood she was very involved in the community, her church, and softball. During high school she participated in concert band, marching band, the drama club, and various volunteer work. After attending college she moved to Gainesville to marry her high school sweet heart, Troy, who attended the University of Florida. After marrying in April 2005, Rebecca and husband Troy decided to stay in Gainesville where they are both active members of the community and enjoy spending time with their children — daughter Eva Lorean and son Thomas Spencer.
