Oakmont is Gainesville’s newest luxury development, bringing sophisticated resort-style living to Alachua County. Established in 2015, the vast grounds are tucked between Haile and Tioga on 550 acres, 45 of which are set aside as a permanent conservation area. Highlights include a leafy, relaxed setting, upscale amenities, and custom homes by esteemed local builders. Further east, you’re within easy driving distance of the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, the Florida Museum of Natural History, shopping along Archer Road, and the nightlife downtown. If you’re a fan of cycling and fresh fruits and vegetables sold directly by local farmers, a trip to the Haile Village farmer’s market is totally doable by bike.

The K-5 school will be situated on an 18-acre property across from Diamond Sports Park, about a mile from Oakmont’s main entrance at SW 24th Avenue. The zoning of the new school is still TBD.
