1.40th Annual 5th Avenue Arts Festival
April 27th & 28th
Stroll through the historic 5th Avenue/Seminary Lane community and engage with local artists, musicians, performers, and vendors. Historical exhibits are featured, like The Rosewood Exhibit, Black History traveling exhibits from New York and the local Harn Museum exhibits.
2.Tree Fest 2019
April 27th 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Solar Impact, Inc. and Swamp Head Brewery have teamed up again for the 5th Tree Fest, an annual event hosted at Swamp Head brewery around Earth Day and Arbor Day each year.
Tree Fest celebrates the environment by raising money to plant trees with the Alachua Conservation Trust in an event that features food trucks, family-friendly activities, live music, and of course, Swamp Head beer.
5 trees will be planted for every beer purchased during Tree Fest, 20 trees for every Tree Fest T-Shirt bought, and all sponsor donations will increase our tree planting.
3.High Springs Pioneer Days Festival
Sunday, April 28th, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The festival features:
- 75-100 unique arts & crafts vendors
- Kids Korral featuring Pets Overboard Show and Bouncers, Slides & More
- Historical Shootout Reenactment
- Music at the gazebo in the sinkhole (James Paul Park)
- Barbershop Quartets strolling the downtown and festival area
- Heritage Village artisans will demonstrate their skills and crafts from the pioneer period
- Visit the Railroad Museum & Historical Museum located in the festival area

4.FemmeFest at Cypress and Grove Brewery
Friday, April 26th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Produced by local artist Catey Clark, features performers from the UF and Gainesville community. Come grab some delicious beverages and immerse yourself in an evening of dance and performance art! Enjoy an empowering evening of femme-focused entertainment.

7.New exhibit at Florida Museum
Opens April 26th 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
“Whale People: Protectors of the Sea,” is a unique experience featuring a more than 4,000-pound, hand-carved totem of a human riding a killer whale. A 90-foot video projection around the totem depicts these animals in the wild while artifacts from the Florida Museum’s Anthropology Division collections showcase their importance in Native American culture.
