Best of Tampa Bay

Since expanding to Tampa, we’ve been trying our best to check out the local spots and learn what’s happening in the Bay area. Here’s a small list of what we’ve found most interesting so far! Let us know if any of these are your faves, and what we might have missed!

Tampa Originals:
Buddy Brew – Dave and Susan Ward opened their Tampa Bay Roastery in 2010, named after their dog, Buddy. They soon took over the Tampa coffee scene, and now are a wholesale retailer with 5 locations and a food truck. A Tampa landmark you simply must try.

Oxford Exchange – A community-centric space that is a part restaurant, part bookstore, study space, design studio, and event space. It truly needs to be seen to be experienced. https://oxfordexchange.com/

Taco Bus – Way before the food truck craze ever took over the US, Taco Bus was a big deal in Tampa. Though they now have permanent stores, you can still visit the original bus and enjoy one of Chef Rene’s authentic Mexican Creations.

Teabella Tea Company – Teabella is known for its delicious and unique looseleaf tea blends, they are a thriving shop that has now expanded to 4 locations, as well as a wholesale retailer. You can try their tea here in Gainesville at Wyatts Coffee, or journey to Tampa to see their brick and mortar store.

Entertainment:

MOSI – For children and adults, the Museum of Science and Industry has hands-on experiences and interactive exhibits sure to impress the curious mind in all of us. Experience an adrenaline rush like no other on MOSI’s Sky Trail® Ropes Course and brand new Zip Line. Daring riders will soar more than 700 feet over MOSI and then return to the Ropes Course to conquer 35 elements with high-energy feats ideal for all ages

Amalie Arena – Hockey fans gather here to see the Tampa Bay Lightning, music fans gather for stadium tours, Amalie Arena is a hotspot for every walk of life in Tampa. If the bolts are in the Stanley Cup Finals, camp out at Fergs or in front of the arena to watch the game on big screens surrounded by fellow fans.

Florida Museum of Photographic Arts – The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is dedicated to exhibiting important photographic art as central to contemporary life and culture. FMoPA collects, preserves, and exhibits historic and contemporary works by nationally and internationally known photographic artists.

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts – The Straz Center for the Performing Arts provides world-class entertainment, ranging from lavish Broadway shows to classical music and rock concerts. It is the largest facility of its kind in the Southeastern United States.
