Even though we all have clean houses all the time, especially with children, we thought we would share a few tips to help make spring cleaning easier and less stressful.

Set up a cleaning caddy – Grab your go-to cleaning products, microfiber clothes, magic erasers, scrub brushes, and duster to add them to an easy to carry caddy. When you are ready to clean you won’t spend extra time searching for the glass cleaner and towels. In addition to having a caddy, we recommend having a bucket, mop, and toilet brush near by.

Deep clean – We know, we know. Deep cleaning is everyone’s worst nightmare and its not easy. If you start with a thorough deep clean, maintaining a clean home is so much easier. You won’t have to start from scratch each time you clean.

Start at the top – Why you ask? Because dust and grime from the ceiling fan will find its way to shelves and couch below it and the crumbs on the table will gladly find a home on the floor. We recommend starting with these items and working you way down so that you are not making your job twice as hard.

Keep it simple – Rome was not built in a day. If you are not an expert cleaner, keep it simple. Start with small tasks and work your way up. You will avoid burning yourself out and slowly adopt a routine that will keep your home clean and you happy.

Delegate – Unless you live alone, there is no reason that you should be the only one cleaning a home. When you enlist the help of everyone in the home, you will find cleaning does not take as long and you definitely will have less work.
